Mechanical design, CAD and prototypes for smaller engineering projects

I help startups, manufacturers, machine builders and other customers design, modify and test mechanical components — from measurements and manufacturing drawings to CAD models and 3D-printed prototypes and parts.

  • CAD and manufacturing drawings
  • Measurement and reverse engineering
  • 3D printing and prototypes

What does a small project cost?

Here are examples of typical, clearly defined tasks. The price depends on the work involved and is always agreed in advance.

01

A bracket from a sketch

A 3D model and manufacturing drawing ready for production.

TypicallyDKK 1,200–2,500

02

Modelling an existing component

Measurement and creation of a parametric CAD model. Deliverables can include a STEP file and manufacturing drawing.

TypicallyDKK 2,000–4,500

03

From idea to 3D-printed prototype

A small component modelled from a sketch, dimensions or description and supplied as a physical prototype.

TypicallyDKK 1,200–3,000

3D printing from an existing modelTypically DKK 100–600
CAD work with an agreed scopeDKK 600/hour

Prices are indicative. Materials, outsourced manufacturing, shipping and special purchases are agreed separately. Gilling Teknik is a Danish small personally owned business (PMV) and is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.

How I can help

I take on small and medium-sized projects involving CAD, mechanical design, measurement and prototypes

01

CAD and manufacturing drawings

I create or adapt models and drawings from sketches, dimensions, existing files or physical parts.

  • Parametric 3D models
  • Manufacturing drawings
  • Modifications and adaptations
  • Tolerances and fits
02

Measurement and reverse engineering

I model smaller existing components when a usable model or drawing is missing.

  • Measuring part geometry
  • Modelling from a physical part
  • STEP files and drawings
  • Focus on function and manufacturing method
03

Prototypes and 3D printing

I turn an idea or CAD model into a physical prototype to assess its geometry, fit and function.

  • Functional prototypes
  • Fit checks
  • Small custom components
  • Refinement after testing

Sebastian Gilling Pedersen, mechanical engineer

I started Gilling Teknik to take on smaller design, CAD and prototype projects that need a flexible approach without a large consultancy behind them.

My work includes mechanical design, 3D modelling, manufacturing drawings, measurement and prototypes. I consider tolerances, fits, assembly, tool access and manufacturing methods from the outset, so the design also works when it comes to making and assembling the part.

Price, scope and delivery time are agreed before work starts. I am based in Aarhus, Denmark, and CAD and drawing projects can be handled remotely.

Getting started

  1. 1

    Send your material

Send a short description, ideally with a sketch, dimensions, photos or CAD files.

  2. 2

    Agree on price and delivery

I clarify the deliverables and send you a proposal before work begins.

  3. 3

    I carry out the work

I complete the agreed work and deliver the specified files or prototype parts.

Tell me about your project

Briefly describe what needs to be designed, modified or tested, what material you already have and what you would like delivered.

Sketches, photos, dimensions and CAD files can be sent separately by email. Price and delivery time are agreed before work starts.

Files can be sent separately by email to info@gillingteknik.dk.
